World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7th to raise awareness about global health issues and to promote healthy living. The theme for World Health Day 2023 is "Health for All" marking the 75th anniversary of the WHO.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of access to quality healthcare for all. It has also exposed the health inequalities that exist, with marginalized communities being disproportionately affected by the pandemic. The "Health for All" slogan highlights the importance of addressing these existing health disparities and ensuring that everyone has access to essential healthcare services and resources. Achieving health for all requires a collective effort from individuals, healthcare providers, policymakers, and communities. It also requires addressing social determinants of health, such as poverty, education, housing, and access to clean water and sanitation. WHO’s 75th anniversary year is an opportunity to look back at public health successes that have improved quality of life during the last seven decades. It is also an opportunity to motivate action to tackle the health challenges of today ̀¶ and tomorrow.

As the world celebrates World Health Day it is essential to recognize the critical role played by organizations like USERN in promoting research and education in health and medicine with an interdisciplinary approach. USERN, as a non-profit organization aims to promote scientific education and research globally. The organization recognizes that education is a critical component of improving healthcare outcomes. USERN was founded in 2016 and has since then worked towards fostering collaboration between scientists, educators, and researchers from different parts of the world. One of the notable initiatives is the USERN International Congress, which brings together scientists, healthcare professionals, and researchers from different fields to share their research findings and collaborate on new projects.

Happy World Health Day!
