USERN and Russian Armenian University Signed a MoU

Busy schedule is running for USERN president who is currently in Yerevan for the 1st j-project meeting in Armenia. Nima Rezaei found a chance yesterday on October 26th to meet up with the ''head of institute of biomedicine and pharmacy'' at Russian-Armenian University of Yerevan. Only hours after his arrival to Yervan, Nima Rezaei signed a memorandum of agreement with the head of the institute of biomedicine and pharmacy at Russian-Armenian University (RAU) of the city, Dr. Arsen Arakelyan, Ph.D. 

According to the MoU, the parties will expand collaboration in research and education, including organization scientific programs, meetings, workshops and conferences, scholar exchange and training according to the mutual interests and benefits. They also agree to share information, best practices and technology in support of educational and research activities.

RAU was founded following the interstate agreement between the Republic of Armenia and Russian Federation in 1997 and has since become a leading educational and scientific center in Armenia.  

RAU offers a diverse range of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs and comprises 31 Departments and 8 Institutes: Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Institute of Physics and Engineering, Institute of Biomedicine and Pharmacy, Institute of Economics and Business, Institute of Law and Politics, Institute of Humanities, Institute of Media, Advertising and Film Production, Institute of Oriental Studies.

RAU attracts ethnic Armenian prospective students from all over the region. Around 30% of students admitted to RAU each year are young people from CIS countries: Russia (which stands for the largest Armenian Diaspora), Georgia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries.
