Meet USERN Alumni: What Happened in the Registration Desk

As we look back into our days, organizing the hectic schedule of the 1st USERN Congress, no wonder we stop to admire the huge and tremendous job they did: Arya AminoRoaya and his Colleagues in the Registration Team of USERN Congress 2016

I was going to set up an interview with him... He seemed to be preoccupied at the moment! Then I decided to make it some time else... but now I am writing on my own!

His fellow teammates in the USERN Registration Team, believe that when he is concentrated on something, nothing can disturb him. Arya Aminoroaya is a 4th year medical student, who was in charge of all the paper works and registration tasks of the USERN Congress. '' It could either turn into a disaster or a very good portrait of organization and team work''. We were the first impression they got from the congress, so we needed to be quick, flexible and smiling, as much as it could be possible at the moment'', remembers Arya from the pre-congress days.

At the moment the first delegate was registered, received card and package and ready to go, I knew we were going to be fine, Say the Chair of USERN Congress, Dr. Nima Rezaei. We were prepared for any negative remark and all the horrible things that might have happened, yet none of them came true''. The Registration Team was in charge of:

1- Issuing Cards, and Package for over 700 pre-paid delegates of the Congress

2- Onsite registration on the first day of the congress

3- Delegates Check-in and Check-out system

4- Issuing Certificates for attendance, focused group discussions, invited speakers and panel moderators

Members of the team were all juniors, from med students, to graduate in immunology and hematology; Yasna Rostamabadi, Davood Jafari, Fatemeh Asadi, Samira Esmaili, Maryam Haghshomar, Parya Akbari and Zahra Aryan.

One of our greatest fears was that if the printer device, stopped at any time and we were paralysed with all delegates requiring their certificates and the chaos that might have happened. Indeed, that almost happened in the final day, when we needed to print certificates of attendance and FGDs of the day and also some paper works of the festival. Nothing happened any as like as a chaos. Issue fixed withing 5 minutes with the help of the support system in the venue...

Well Arya and his young friends have something to smile, in the morning for a long time, after this!

GREAT JOB GUYS!
