USERN mTalks (USERN Miniature Talks) are sessions of consecutive, thematic, short lectures of 6-12 minutes organized by USERN. USERN mTALKs offer junior scientists a free podium to represent topics from their life passion in science, through the most innovative and engaging way they can.
Contestants and mTalk lecturers are getting ready for the next season of USERN mTalks, a three-hour seminar with thematic lectures on Neuroscience. Professor. Azarakhsh Mokri, Professor Bahram Mobasher and Siavash Safarianpour, will be hosting the upcoming USERN event, featuring at least 5 new USERN mTalk lecturers. The three hour session will be devoted to thematic talks evolving around "Neuroscience" accompanied by artists creating "Handicrafts" and as usual, voting by the jury and audience to introduce the next pair of contestants, a lecturer and an artist, for the final round of USERN mTalks.
Contestants for the mTalk on March were chosen during USERN Presidents interview with 16 shortlisted potential lecturers, out of 86 total applicants. Three applicants were given a second chance to enter the competition, receiving advice from no one but USERN President to improve their lecturing skills.

Conceived by USERN SRE department in 2018, USERN mTALKs offer junior scientists a free podium to represent topics from their life passion in science, through the most innovative and engaging way they can. Speakers at USERN mTALKs enter an annual selection process, rated by audience and experts of the topic. USERN mTalks Contest begin with rounds of thematic lectures by selected junior speakers on areas pertaining to the five main areas of science, Formal, Physical, Biological, Medical, and Social Sciences, also being the five areas of the annual USERN Prize.
