Global Health School

The USERN Global Health School was held at Akkon University of Humanitarian Sciences in Berlin, Germany from August 1st to August 7th.

The USERN Global Health School was held at Akkon University of Humanitarian Sciences in Berlin, Germany from August 1st to August 7th.

This school had participants of junior researchers from Iran and Germany from various fields of studies including disaster management, global health, medical sciences, dental sciences, biotechnology, etc. During this school junior researchers presented their scientific papers with the main discipline of global health and during the closing ceremony top three presenters were appreciated and awarded by Akkon University.

Global health is a field that is characterized by various field of studies that should be involved in to solve different problems in this field of research. All students from various fields were inspired by exposure to global health-related scientific presentations and workshops during this school which will absolutely help them in their future careers, and make them responsible individual professionals regrading this smatter in the future.

Indeed, scientific and official visits of well-known research centers and hospitals arranged by Akkon University have given us lots of ideas to both professors and students, specifically the Robert Koch Institute visit and Charité visit, which was really inspiring and full of learning.

Professor Nima Rezaei, Professor Timo Ulrichs, Professor Amirhossein Takian, Professor Reza Majdzadeh, Professor Alexander Krämer, Professor Andreas Bock, and Mr Benjamin Azadi were among keynote speakers from Iran and Germany during this school.

We are looking forward to future collaborations with Akkon University and school series with the main subject of global health in near future.
