The USERN Prize Award is specifically designed to recognize and honor the remarkable efforts of junior scientists who are making significant contributions in their fields. This international award is aimed at researchers under the age of 40, celebrating their notable advancements in scientific education, groundbreaking research, and impactful service across five key fields: Formal Sciences, Physical-Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social Sciences. By honoring these young innovators, the USERN Prize seeks to inspire a new generation of scientists and cultivate a culture of excellence within the scientific community.
The award will be presented on November 10th, the final day of the 10th USERN Congress, which will take place in São Paulo, Brazil. This significant date coincides with World Science Day for Peace and Development, emphasizing the vital role that science plays in promoting peace and sustainable development around the world.
Applications for the 2025 USERN Prize are now open. Interested candidates can register here. Registration will close on June 1st, after which no further applications will be accepted.
Since its inception in 2016, the prize ceremonies have been held in various cities around the world, including Tehran, Kharkiv, Reggio Calabria, Budapest, Istanbul, Muscat, Yerevan, and Plovdiv. Each location has brought its unique cultural flavor to the event, celebrating scientific achievements in a global context.
To date, 45 USERN laureates from the Netherlands, United States, Iran, Slovenia, Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, Canada, Australia, Russia, Denmark, Chile, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, China, Sweden, France, Belgium, India, and Brazil have received the USERN Prize.
Prize winners will be awarded a $5,000 cash prize, along with USERN statuettes that symbolize their achievements. Additionally, they will gain honorary membership on the advisory board, providing them with further opportunities to contribute to the scientific community. Winners will also have the unique opportunity to embark on scientific visits to leading research institutes around the world, expanding their horizons and enjoying international collaboration.
