USERN Summer School on Inborn Errors of Immunity, September 1-6, 2025, Zurich, Switzerland
USERN is proud to announce the upcoming USERN Summer School on Inborn Errors of Immunity, to be held in Zurich, Switzerland, from September 1 to 6, 2025. This international event will bring together students, early-career researchers, and world-renowned experts in the field of Inborn Errors of Immunity (Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases) for a week of immersive learning, collaboration, and scientific exchange.
Participants will engage in a series of scientific sessions led by globally recognized authorities in immunology and related disciplines. In addition to the lectures and discussions, the Summer School offers a rare opportunity for young researchers and students to present their own scientific work in a supportive international environment. This experience is designed not only to enhance scientific understanding but also to foster networking and mentorship across disciplines and borders.
Why This School Matters:
Inborn Errors of Immunity are a group of rare but often life-threatening genetic disorders that affect the immune system’s ability to function properly. Over the past decades, major advances in genetics, molecular biology, and immunology have transformed our understanding of these diseases. The USERN Summer School aims to equip the next generation of scientists and clinicians with the knowledge, tools, and inspiration to further advance research and improve patient care in this critical area. By participating in this school, attendees will gain cutting-edge insights, broaden their international perspectives, and contribute to the global dialogue in immunodeficiency research.
Aligned with USERN’s Mission:
The USERN Summer School on Inborn Errors of Immunity reflects USERN’s core mission of advancing universal scientific education, promoting interdisciplinary research, and fostering collaboration among young scientists worldwide. By bringing together minds from various scientific backgrounds in a setting of high academic standards and open exchange, this program strengthens USERN’s commitment to building a more connected and informed scientific community.
Due to limited capacity, applications and submitted abstracts will be carefully evaluated, and selected delegates will be contacted via email with further instructions regarding registration and participation.
Application Deadline: May 10, 2025
We warmly invite all interested students and young researchers to submit their applications and abstracts and take part in this unique opportunity to learn, share, and grow in one of Europe’s most vibrant scientific and cultural cities. We look forward to welcoming you to this inspiring event!
