In less than 4 months, USERN is planning on the third USERN Congress and USERN Prize Festival Hosted by the Istituto DeBlasi and supported by European School of Genetic Medicine (ESGM) on November 10th in Italy. After a successful USERN 2017 congress in Kharkiv, the Charming Reggio di Calabria will be the next station for USERN annual event. This time USERN Congress is followed by a course in Primary Immunodeficiencies (PID) from Nov 11-14, as an enriching post festival event. One-day USERN Congress and Festival will have the usual’s of the USERN event, lectures by top 1% scientists and the five new USERN Laureates receiving their awards. As of every year the festival -and this year also the congress- will be on November 10th in the World Science Day for Peace and Development.
The ancient Reggio di Calabria is located between seaside and colourful mountains in the south Sicily and is considered one of the oldest and most picturesque cities in the region. The city has long been host to scholars enrolling the University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria and several other scientific and research institutes there.
ESGM is one big supporter of the Congress and PID course. ESGM has had its own prestigious courses and schools, since 1988. Thousands of young geneticists, have been trained by the ESGM, who is recognized and sponsored with scholarships by many universities and scientific societies across Europe. ESGM is therefore having a tremendous impact on the practice and research in human/medical genetics far beyond Europe.
The USERN Congress and Prize Festival 2018 and the joint USERN:ESGM PID Course will be organized during Nov 10-14, hosted by the Istituto De Blasi and organized by USERN and European School of Genetic Medicine (ESGM).
As with previous USERN Congresses, the speakers are solely chosen from world top1% scientists, renowned experts and key opinion leaders in the field: Professor Alessandro Aiuti (IT); Eleonora Gambineri (IT); Marco Gattorno (IT); Alessandro Plebani (IT); Andrew Cant (UK); Lennart Hammarström (SE); Kathleen Sullivan (USA); Mirjam van der Burg (NL), Nima Rezaei (IR) and the legendary Raif Geha (USA).
