The Avicenna Student Festival was introduced three years ago, a festivals for young students in medicine, dentistry and all related health sciences with prizes in educational, research, art, social, and nearly all areas which makes a scholar, a student as a whole. On the annual celebration of ‘’collegian/students day’’, on Azar 16th, the TUMS university was host to the 3rd Avicenna Festival to introduce, eight of USERN organization committee and interest groups, in various fields.
USERN interest group, Media for Life Promotion Group (MLPG), won the Art prize of Avicenna, for their motion picture projects in charity and health promotion through a creative combination of art and health.
A group of young artists, Farnaz Delavari, Soroush Veisi, Saba Alvand, Mohammad Reza Farahani, Ehsan Keramati and Hamidreza Farokhi, MLPG was formed under the brand name of USERN less than a year ago. ‘’We had the opportunity of conducting some minor projects, like the paediatric football match documentary-which we liked a lot- USERN as a network with all the exceptional moments and extraordinary chances, was a full option for MLPG to define amazing projects, and that is why we are happy to be around the vibe.’’ Farnaz explains, when I asked her about the ties between USERN and MLPG.
Sara Harsini, Ameneh Saghazade and Yasna RostamAabadi, Davood Jafari, and Samira Esmaili were other USERN affiliates who were bestowed the prize in educational, research and general sections of the 3rd Avicenna Festival on December 8th (16th of Azar) 2016.
