It is Hard to Say if it was The Best Event of the HEART or One of Them. All We Can Say is that "The International Village of Arts and Games" Absolutely met What It was Meant to Be. Children and Parents Were Head to Toes Joy and Living, Essential Ingredients for Mental Health.

The international village of arts and games was by all terms a success and beyond what is was mean to achieve. It all came from a flame of thought to do something about mental health on the world’s day named after it. The HEART group was determined to do something to bring smile to bring smile to a beating heart and it all turned to be an outdoor event that is certainly one of the best of HEART events.

The municipality of the 3rd district and to be specific the "dean of health" of the Tehran municipality, Ms. Nasiri offered the Tehran Mellat Park as the Venue, and this is how Tehran’s one of the most favourite weekend night destinations turned into an outdoor stage with live music, gaming and arts stalls and scientific exhibitions.

TUMS international students were involved to prepare with their traditional outdoor games, so to bring an international spirit to the event. From hip-hop to rope pulling, spoons and lemons, and to the face with an empty smile, children enjoyed playing with their mentors from Africa, India, Pakistan, Germany and middle-east. The was a gardening stop for children to learn basics of planting a seed and befriend mother nature at early age and there was a science stop run by the SBART group of USERN to demonstrate a few tricks and show the bright side of biology and astronomy to kids. The pottery stop, manual art, painting, and thinking were each offering a new set experience to hundreds of children visiting the park with their parents.

Live performances happened to be one the best parts of the three-night show, with "Shah-Name" narration by Bahareh Jahandoost and her team of junior artists, the "Dal" band performing live music, and artists and football players giving talk-shows on "mental health".

The event was validated and visited by celebrities as well as Tehran Mayor himself who inaugurated the event on October 10th, and returned for a visit on the last day, an act to bring awareness on mental health issues on the world’s mental health day. By all means and in the eyes of its executives and attendees, the International Village of Art and Games did well to create a platform for children and parents to play and learn, away from the stress and apprehension of the "changing world" and the overwhelming pressure and vulnerability generated by the growing connectivity through virtual networks. According to the WHO, half of all mental illness begin by the age of 14, but most cases go undetected and untreated. Depression is the third leading cause of mortality among adolescents and suicide is the second leading cause of death among them. Let us cherish this little-big act to uphold young minds and souls in this changing world around.
