Valentina Pirota

Valentina Pirota is currently a Senior PostDoc at the Chemistry Department of the University of Pavia.

Her research projects were aimed at developing innovative strategy based upon selective recognition, covalent modification and stabilization, of nucleic acids in the G-quadruplex (G4) structure. (i) synthesis of various NDIs families (ii) functionalization of G4-ligands with PNAs (iii) synthesis of peptide-libraries for different targets (iv) biophysical studies on nucleic acid secondary structures
