Feiping Nie received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Tsinghua University, China, in 2009. He is currently a Full Professor with Northwestern Polytechnical University, China. He has published more than 100 articles in the following journals and conferences TPAMI, IJCV, TIP, TNNLS, TKDE, ICML, NIPS, KDD, IJCAI, AAAI, ICCV, CVPR, and ACM MM. His articles have been cited more than 20 000 times and the H-index is 79. His research interests include machine learning and its applications, such as pattern recognition, data mining, computer vision, image processing, and information retrieval. He is currently serving as a PC member or an associate editor for several prestigious journals and conferences in the related fields.
