History of Medicine Network (HiMedNet)
Objective
The goals of creating this interest group are to increase studies and research in the field of history of medicine in the near future and also to create a scientific and educational research group in order to target the teaching of research methods, publication and development of studies and research in this knowledge.
Definition
The history of medicine is one of the branches of the history of science that focused on the study of human understanding of nature, why and how to develop medical knowledge and related sciences, and the study of events and their effects on human life.The aim of this field is to study and explain the emergence of scientific theories and scientific revolutions in the field of medicine and related sciences in order to determine the path of medical knowledge and create the positive effects in the medical, social, cultural, and economic fields in humanity society.
