Health and Art (HEART) Group

The world is full of defects, but some individuals are there too that never give up trying to tackle defects and to make world a better place to live in.

Health and Art (HEART) is a global network of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of sick children through a unique blend of medical and artistic support. This non-profit organization, part of USERN, brings together medical professionals and artists to uplift and inspire young patients during their treatment. HEART's mission is to enhance the emotional and psychological well-being of children facing illness by fostering hope and positivity. Through creative activities and supportive interactions, artists work alongside doctors to boost the morale of both the children and their families. This collaborative effort aims to make the healthcare experience more joyful and encouraging, which is crucial for the overall treatment process. By integrating art with medical care, HEART seeks to create a nurturing environment that promotes healing and happiness. The organization operates globally, with all members volunteering their time and skills to support this noble cause.

Now, we would like to invite all children and adolescents with the age of fewer than 18 years old, who were admitted to a hospital during their life, to this festival.

Two hundred selected paintings (drawings) will be printed in the booklet of the Festival.
The best 12 selected individuals will be our special guests at the Festival. Their awards will be formally presented at the Festival. At that time, they will be invited to come to the podium and be introduced to the audience.

We are pleased to inform you that we are planning to organize the 10thInternational Festival of Paintings for Pediatric Patients (IFPPP) in November 2024, in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. We cordially invite all children and adolescents (<18 years old), who were admitted to a hospital during their life, to submit their paintings (drawings) to this festival.
The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Festival in Tehran (Iran), Budapest (Hungary), Kharkiv (Ukraine), Reggio Calabria (Italy), Budapest (Hungary), Tehran (Iran), Istanbul (Turkey),Muscat (Oman) and Yerevan(Armenia) were all amazing, where more than 1000  paintings from more than 30 countries were submitted each year; and we hope to receive more than a thousand paintings this year as well. The top 200 selected artworks would be published in the booklet of the festival.

Mini World Cup

The 4th Football Mini World Cup was held on June 16th in the Children's Medical Center in Tehran, Iran. Pediatric patients struggling with chronic diseases took part in this competition. They played football with three teams consist of senior football players, artists, and the board of trustees from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (who were medical doctors). Symbolically, the children represented Iran's national team. The three other teams represented the United States of America, England, and Wales national teams, respectively, which are Iran's rivals in the 2022 Qatar world cup.
First, the two girls' teams at the medical center competed against each other.
Team one, with white shirts, was managed by Kosar Zolfaghari. Arnika Rezaei (goalkeeper and team captain), Elena Ahmadi, Nazanin Fatemeh Mirkhani, Sana Haghighi, and Sogol Souri were the players. Team two was managed by Bahareh Jahandoost. Helma Shokri (goalkeeper and team captain), Zahra Souri, Mohana Issaabadi, Bahar Vinari, Ariandokht Aslani, and Fatemeh Noura Ale-Yamin played in red shirts.
Niloufar Ardalan was also the head coach of the girls' national team. Team one managed to win this game.
Then, the boys team entered the field. Their first match was against England (the senior football players' team). Mohammad Moein Mian Dashti, Soheil Nayebi, Kian Sobhani, Mahyar Mahmoudi, Mohammad Reza Oveisi, Arash Zolali, Mohammad Amin Bandari, Amir Ali Ebrahimi, Sepehr Bukan, Amir Hossein Zafi, Amir Ali Paderband, and Ali Asghar Rahmanpour were the team players. The head coach of the Children's Medical Center team was Dr. Nima Rezaei.
The head coach of the athlete's team was Mohammad Panjali, and the team manager was Saeed Naseri. Mohammad Aghaei, Hadi Shakoori, Alireza Nikbakht Vahedi, Morteza Fonunizadeh, Parviz Boroumand, Mohammad Reza Mahdavi, Reza Agha Mohammadi, Ahmad Taghavi, Mostafa Shabani, Mehdi Pashazadeh, Javad Manafi, Sadegh Droudgar, Nima Nakisa, Masoud Reza, Ali Nouri, and Behzad Dadashzadeh played symbolically for England.
The match ended in a 6-3 victory for the Children's Medical Center football team.
The next match was held among the medical center's boys and artist team, symbolically representing the USA. Seyed Javad Hashemi was the head coach of the artist's team, Amir Hossein Yar Yar was in charge of managing the team, and Hamid Sanaei, Mohammad Moslemi, Hamed Tehrani, Siavash Mofidi, Mehdi Salehpour, Seyed Mojtaba Zarifian (Uncle Mehraban), Farshid Sarbaz Watan, Omid Jahan, Mostafa Nazari, and Mahmoud Najafzadeh were the players.
The match ended 5-5, and the Children's Medical Center team won the penalty shoot-out.
In the final match, Iran's national team representatives competed against the board of trustees of the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, who were representing Wales national team.
Dr. Hossein Qenaati, Dr. Mashallah Torabi, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Sadeghian, Dr. Reza Shervin Bedv, Dr. Hojjat Rahmani, Dr. Kazem Rahnama, Dr. Alireza Oliaei Manesh, Dr. Abbas Mazinani, Dr. Seyed Abolfazl Zakerian played for Wales under the coaching of Dr. Mohammad Jalili.
The last game ended with the victory of the Children's Medical Center team.
Children, the champions, received golden medallions and lifted the champion's cup above their heads at the end of the competition.
These matches aim to improve sick children's mental health and give them motivation and hope to fight better with their disease, stated Dr. Nima Rezaei, founder of the health and art group. This event was held jointly by HEART and Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

The Third Football Mini World Cup Was Extraordinary Successful, A Sample of Collaboration, Hope and Vitality. Days to the Beginning of 21st World Cup, Nima Rezaei, Teamed Up the "Health and Art", "TUMS Directorate Council", Celebrity Football Players, and Artists for this Biannual Sport Event. 
May 1st , the front-yard of Children’s Medical Center was carpeted with artificial turf, small number of sits for the audience, press spot and everything you see in a professional stadium! This year’s contest was a special one, as girls first had the chance to play in a real field, headed and coached by Iranian professional football women, Ms. Nasrin Ardalan and Ms. Rahmati, national team’s coach and coach of the national youth football teams. Iran’s team was presented by children, current and former patients of the Children’s Medical Centre (CMC). TUMS president, Dr. Karimi, international deputy, Dr. Kordi, former presidents. Dr. Jafari and Dr. Mansouri, and Professor. Bahadori, TUMS pioneer pathologist formed the Portugal Team. Artists and TV-show hosts formed the Morocco team and former professional football players, Nima Nakisa, Ahmad Reza Abed Zadeh, Mohammad Panjali, and several other professionals played as Spain. Girls were also from Children’s Medical Center patients and played with each other in two teams, under Ardalan and Rahmati’s guidance. 
The CMC team, AKA, Iran’s National Team, won the third mini world cup in a drenching squad of 4 consecutive plays.

In the second rounds of the Mini World Cup contests the TUMS directors team along with Children’s of the Children’s Medical Center and Pioneers Soccer Players of Iran National Football team and Volunteer Iranian Artists played in the central yard of CMC center for Children’s team to win the final match with a 5-1 score.
In The opening match Iranian artists consisting members of the famous “Fitile Children’s Show” and Iranian live-action show “ Amo Mehraban” could not do more than a 3-5 facing the incited CMC members . The CMC = team later went for an eight point clear in the second match against Iranian Pioneer Football players such as ‘’Ahmad Reza Abed Zade” and the renowned Goal Keeper ‘’ Nima Nakisa’’. The CMC team turned winner with their outstanding 7-2 result against world top one percent Scientists “USERN’’ team. Dr. Raofi, Professor Hans Ochs from Germany, Professor Ganten, David Haslam and Professor Elenora Gambinieri as team doctor composed the USERN team. In the final match TUMS directors coached by Dr. Bahadori and their Captain Dr. Zafarghandi wasted the glorious chance to win, for CMC squad to take home the Mini Cup for second.
Iranian Minister of Health, some of the world’s top 1% scientists and TUMS staff as well as CMC hospital staff and sick children and their family were spectators of the tournament.
