Objective

We invite all researchers interested in metacognition to join the MCIG. Our primary purpose is to carry out joint interdisciplinary research. In parallel with this, we encourage all the MCIG members to write a sentence or story to express their personal opinion about metacognition.

Definition

Metacognition, which is defined as cognition about cognition or knowing about knowing, has attracted considerable attention from many fields of science, particularly cognitive and computational neuroscience, cognitive and developmental psychology, biophysics, and mathematics. The MetaCognition Interest Group (MCIG) wants to create space for researchers to share their curiosity and experiences with each other.
