Objective

The aim of the present group is to organize research teams to investigatepharmacological activities of medicinal plants and plant-derived natural compounds in different diseases including neurodegenerative, psychological, gastrointestinal, and metabolic disorders.

Definition

Phytopharmacology is the field of evaluating pharmacological activities of medicinal plants as well as their chemical constituents for the purpose of discovering new drugs.
