mohammadreza pourjafar

Dr M.R. Pourjafar was born in 1956. He gained good experiments in painting & sketching during his high school studies in mathematics. His research interest is Art, Arch., Urban Design & Planning.  He received the Gold Medal CCA (Candigarh, India, 1983), Punjab University Medal & Indian Institution of Engineer Medal in 1984.  He did MUD from SPA in 1986 & Phd from IIT Roorkee, India in 1992. Prof. pourjafar has published more than two hundred. The books: An Illustrate Guide to the Iranian Code for Seismic Design (standard 2800) & conservation of old town were prepared by him. He was head of faculty of art (T.M.U) until 2008.

He has also worked on the following projects: Design of private houses, development plan Bandar-e-Lengeh and kong, comprehensive plan of settlement along northern side of Persian Gulf. Corporation in planning and side selection of Millad communication tower, landscape design of Tarbiat Modares University, planning of Modares Science and Technology Park, Environmental Planning and  Urban design criteria for Darabad river valley & Preparation of comprehensive plan of Sahand new city. (until 2008). He was selected as a distinguish prof. in the field of research in Art & Arch. in Iran in 2010.
