Reinhold Schmidt

Professor Dr. Reinhold E. Schmidt is an internationally acclaimed expert for internal medicine, especially for primary and acquired immunodeficiencies, and for infectious diseases, particularly HIV and AIDS.
He is also renowned for his work on autoimmune and rheumatic diseases. 

After his training at Harvard Medical School he came to Hannover Medical School, where he became head of the Clinic for Immunology and Rheumatology in 1995. 

His team plays a leading role in many international networks and is involved in developing the newest standards of therapy in both HIV infection and rheumatic diseases.

Professor Schmidt is a much sought-after consultant on national and international advisory boards and is a member of numerous scientific societies.
