Clara Vasconcelos

Clara Vasconcelos, graduated in Geology and with PhD in Education, is Professor in the Department of Geosciences, Environment and Spatial Planning, and in the Science Education Unit of Faculty of Science of Porto University. She does research in Science Education and Teaching Methods, Sustainable Development, and Citizen Science in the Institute of Earth Sciences. She is currently the European Team Leader of the Erasmus Plus GOAL (Geoethics Outcomes and Awareness Learning) Project (ref. 2017-1-PTO1-KA203-035790). Clara is also Vice-Chair of IGEO (International Geoscience Education Organization (2018-2021), Commissioner of IUGS in COGEducation (2018-2021), National Co-Coordinator of International Association for Promoting Geoethics (IAPG) - Portugal (2015-), Member of the Panel of Experts of Education of the European Federation of Geology (2014-), and Portuguese Council Member of the IGEO (2010-).
