Project 1: Research on “Stochastic Process”. At this project, our group (QMISG-Quantitative Medical Imaging Systems Group-
http://qmisg.com/ ) works to integrate practical MRI techniques in the radiation therapy (RT) process, including protocol optimization, image evaluation,  and integration into planning.


 MRI provides non-invasive imaging of the human body with excellent soft-tissue contrast, which is valuable for RT treatment planning and post-RT assessment.


Project 2: Research on “RF Coil Design”. In this project, we (QMISG) simulate MRI- and NMR Coils.

M.Sc. Thesis on “Noise Role in Dephasing and its Influence on Image Quality in Diffusion Magnetic Resonance Imaging (DMRI)”.
In this thesis, diffusion dephasing is examined through the Langevin equation. That means randomness regarding particle positions and magnetic field amplitude are taken into account through white Gaussian noise. Then, the Langevin equation is analytically solved with and without the effect of particle inertia when randomness is solely due to the
random position of particles. It is shown that when the inertia of particles is considered
the signal amplitude can be achieved with higher accuracy.

Project 1: Research on “Stochastic Image processing”. In this project, some features of image processing and Mathematical modeling such as Markov Random Field were analyzed to make a new algorithm.

 

Project 2: Research on “Stochastic Process”. In this project,
an algorithm designed in Fortran programming language based on one of a kind
stochastic differential equation, namely Langevin equation, to address the simulation of both Additive and Multiplicative noises for any kind of system whether linear or nonlinear.
